Gamers are increasingly turning to mini PCs. And for good reason! These machines are less bulky. They also make less noise. These devices are economical. However, they are equipped with high-performance components like traditional PCs. Thus, they are suitable for games that require high performance such as Call of Duty. However, you have to find a suitable mini-gaming PC to enjoy a smooth experience. Discover the criteria for choosing the right one.
Key criteria for playing CALL OF DUTY on a mini PC
Call of Duty is a resource-intensive game. It therefore requires a powerful mini PC. This is essential for smooth gameplay. Below are the details:
A high-performance processor (CPU)
The processor has to handle complex calculations and game data like:
- Object movements;
- Interactions between elements;
- The behaviour of non-player characters and AI;
- Scripts.
Then you need powerful processors. AMD Ryzen 9 is efficient. Intel Core i9 also ensures comfortable Call of Duty games. Is your budget rather limited? Don’t panic! Core i5-2500K and AMD Ryzen 1600X are also sufficient.
A dedicated graphics card (GPU)
A suitable graphics card ensures high-quality and smooth images. AMD and NVidia models are popular in gaming. Here again, power is essential. AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT is perfect. As is the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070. Their refresh rate is optimal. Depending on your budget, there is also Nvidia GTX 1660 and AMD RX 580.
RAM
A sufficient amount of RAM helps to avoid slowdowns. This component also ensures the stability of the game and optimizes graphics. For a game like Call of Duty, prefer a mini PC with 12 to 16 GB of RAM. However, a minimum of 8 GB of RAM is just as suitable for Call of Duty config.
Storage
SSD offers a much better loading time. Prefer it to a regular hard drive. This avoids waiting and especially delays in the game. A nanosecond delay in the appearance of objects can be fatal for the player. In addition, the mini PC must have a free storage space of at least 175 GB to support Call of Duty config.
Connectivity and ventilation
You need a high-speed connection to play Call of Duty. This is important to limit latency. This is the time it takes for actions to appear on the screen. The risks of interruptions and disconnections are also limited with good connectivity. In addition, good ventilation prevents overheating and ensures that the components work properly. It is also important to ensure the durability of the mini gaming PC.
How to get more FPS on Warzone PC?
Find out what steps you can take to optimize FPS on Call of Duty Warzone while playing on a mini-gaming PC:
- Free up as many resources as possible. So, close all programs that are running in the background. Also, disable options that may overload the graphics card. This includes, for example, shadows and other additional effects.
- Regularly update your graphics card.
- Regularly defragment and clean your system. This will optimize its operation.
You can also boost your hardware. Increase the RAM. Upgrade the graphics card. It is even possible to install additional elements. So add ventilation or cooling systems. Finally, regularly dust your mini gaming PC. Also, take the time to clean its interior. Dust harms the proper functioning of the components.
Why choose a mini PC to play Call of Duty?
Compactness and mobility
A compact gaming PC has a more compact design compared to traditional PCs, which offers considerable space savings. It is ideal when there is a lack of space. In addition, it is easy to transport. This is practical for gamers who are often on the move. They can take their mini PC wherever they go to play Call of Duty.
Energy saving
The power of a classic PC ranges from 600 to 1,000 Watts. This varies depending on the configurations and components. That of a mini PC is around 300 to 500 Watts. Your electricity bills will thus decrease significantly with a mini PC.
Easy to upgrade
The RAM and ROM memories of a mini PC are often modular, which makes it easier to upgrade if necessary. In addition, they are easily accessible. In addition, it is generally possible to upgrade the components of this hardware, especially if you opt for a high-end model.
